External War Memorial sites
This list represents only the tiniest section of what is available from the internet and local libraries, so it is well worth looking around if you need something specific that is not covered here.
Martin Edwards' Roll of Honour site includes a comprehensive collection of memorials from every village, town and city in the country, which he has been working towards for many years. His site also includes many, many additional areas of information including Boer War, Medal Winners and many on-line databases. Well worth the visit.
There is also the UK National Inventory of War Memorials site, which is supported by the Imperial War Museum. Search this too, on the off chance that they contain additional information over and above that included on the Roll of Honour site.
A comprehensive index to the cemeteries around France and Belgium, with directions to each of them.
Barwick in Elmet and Scholes War Memorials, Leeds
Buckinghamshire Remembers is a site recording county memorials, including many men from the Bedfordshire Regiment, so is worth a visit.
Chailey Parish and War Memorial, Sussex
Irish War Memorials (and a whole lot more)
Margareting War Memorial, Essex
Stevenage and surrounding village War Memorials
Stock and surrounding area War Memorials, Essex
Stockport War Memorials, Cheshire
Toddington village, including their Roll of Honour
War graves
There is also a war graves index, which provides access to photographs of well over 1,400 gravestones of men who fell whilst serving in the regiment.
